Presenter at ATNS 2026 Conference

ATNS 2026 Conference | 6411 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75240

Join Danielle, as she invites the audience into this engaging, experiential session exploring how meaning, purpose, values, connection, and personal spirituality support emotional regulation, reduce perceived threat, and contribute to healing. Drawing from research on spiritually integrated psychotherapy and neuroplastic pain, we’ll consider how spirituality can become a meaningful dimension of clinical care.

Rather than simply talking about these concepts, participants will experience them firsthand. Through guided visualization, breathwork, and structured relational exercises, you’ll have an opportunity to explore some of the same practices that can be thoughtfully adapted for use with patients.

We’ll also explore how clinicians can invite spirituality into treatment in an ethical and inclusive way—without imposing religious beliefs or assumptions.

This session offers a different lens for understanding pain and invites clinicians to consider the often-overlooked resources of meaning, connection, purpose, and personal spirituality in supporting recovery and well-being.
